Travel like a Multi-Millionaire

  • Bellagio Las Vegas
  • Hotel Plaza
  • Caesars Palace Las Vegas
  • Waldorf Astoria
  • Waldorf Astoria Towers
  • Beverly Wilshire
  • Chateau Marmont

If you would like to experience what it's like to live like a multi-millionaire head to a hotel where the multi-millionaires usually stay. According to the list of the top hotels for high net worth individuals revealed by New World Wealth anyone has good chances of hanging with the mega-rich if you stay in a Las Vegas hotel. The Bellagio in Las Vegas tops this list as the most popular hotel for people worth $10 million or more. For instance, the previous year the hotel had 6,400 visits from the ultra-wealthy.

New York's Plaza occupies the second place on the list. This hotel is known as the home of children's book character Eloise and the place where Charlie Sheen has been spotted drunk accompanied by strippers. Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas is number three and the fourth on the list is the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Number five is the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Numbers six is the Breakers in Palm Beach, seven is Hotel de Paris, Monaco, eight - The Ritz, London, nine- Grand Floridian, Disney World, and finally number ten is Wynn Resort, Las Vegas.

As you see, all of the top four hotels are located either in New York or Sin City and for a good reason. In fact, there are 183,500 multi-millionaires in the United States, which is seven times more than in China.

The natural question that arises is what all these hotels have in common that makes them so attractive for the rich and famous. It turns out that all they provide the exclusive level of service and great attention to detail. Many hotels on the list feature private bungalows available exclusively for the ultra-rich or there might be exclusive entrances at some of these hotels. The level of detail-oriented service of these hotels is really impressing. For instance, guests can even specify what type of laundry detergent they want used on their sheets.

In addition to the top 10 list, New World Wealth also made a list of all the hotels that boast 1,500 visits by multi-millionaires each year. The list is topped by such hot-spot destinations as the Villa d'Este in Lake Como, Italy (where George Clooney owns a house) and the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills (which you can remember from the famous movie "Pretty Woman".)

What makes wealthy people return to the Villa d'Este season after season and stay for an extended period of time is the feeling of being at home. Most visitors agree that the feeling of home is the key to the hotel's allure. Another thing clients appreciate on luxury vacation is the right degree of personal attention.  Wealthy guests like when their details are managed for them, they like the personal attention they get, but they don't like to be fawned over as well.

To draw high-end clientele most luxurious hotels also host high-profile promotive events. For example, vintage car shows and rare wine auctions are regularly held in the Villa d'Este.

There're also several boutique hotels with fewer than 100 rooms that were ranked by New World Wealth as those with over 300 multi-millionaire visits this year. They are celebrity hotspots like Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, Baur au Lac in Zurich and Goldeneye in Jamaica.

Those who want to travel like the ultra-rich should consider consulting a travel agent. Focus on your priorities and figure out where you are prepared to splurge. Many people think that they could never afford that sort of vacation, but this can be not true. You never know until you ask. Naturally you hardly will be able to save much on your luxurious stay in one of the hotels mentioned above but you can save on your airline ticket if you use travel coupons always available at
